Connect with Bluetooth
- Keep your Mac awake, turn on Bluetooth and open its Bluetooth settings.
- In Palmote, choose Connect to Mac → Bluetooth Direct → Search Nearby Devices, then select your Mac.
- Keep Palmote open in the foreground while controlling your Mac.
Bluetooth direct connection uses the Mac’s built-in input support; a Mac receiver is not required. If the phone does not appear in macOS Bluetooth settings, try searching from Palmote instead. Discovery and first pairing can vary by device and existing pairing state.
Typing and game controls
For Bluetooth text, select the ABC input source on your Mac. Chinese, Japanese and other Unicode text use the Mac receiver over your local network. Game controls map to keys and mouse by default. Compatibility depends on the game; generic Bluetooth gamepad mode does not guarantee Xbox or PlayStation recognition.
Local network connection
This optional mode requires the Palmote Mac receiver. Keep both devices on a trusted local network, open the receiver, then enter its six-digit pairing code in Palmote. Allow Accessibility access for the receiver on your Mac so it can generate input. The local connection is encrypted.
Optional receiver 0.1.0 (2) for macOS 13 or later, supporting Apple silicon and Intel Macs. Signed with Apple Development; not notarized by Apple. macOS may prevent it from opening. Bluetooth direct connection does not need this download.

Disconnect in Palmote to stop transmitting. You can revoke Bluetooth, local network and motion access in system settings. Use only trusted devices and local networks.
