NexAudio Support
Help with first launch, local models, microphone input, Kawa playback, subscriptions, RSS, and subtitles.
First launch
- Open NexAudio and allow the app to check the local MLX model cache.
- If models are missing, choose Prepare Models and keep the Mac online until the progress indicator reaches Ready.
- Tap the microphone control to start recording and tap again to send, or hold the right Command key while NexAudio is active.
- Kawa is the bundled original synthetic starter voice and can be previewed without importing a voice file.
Microphone or playback does not respond
- Wait for required model downloads to finish. NexAudio resumes the pending start or preview automatically.
- Confirm NexAudio has Microphone access in System Settings only after macOS has shown the permission request.
- Stop and restart the companion if an audio device was disconnected while recording.
- Advanced Local Gemma/API mode needs at least 24 GB unified memory; 32 GB is recommended. Use the lightweight local Qwen companion on smaller Macs.
Subscriptions
NexAudio Pro is JPY 1,000 per month and is billed by Apple. Open the NexAudio Pro panel to subscribe, view the localized App Store price, or restore a previous purchase. The app never receives or stores payment-card details.
Voice consent
Only prepare your own voice, a voice you have explicit permission to use, or an original character voice. Guardian confirmation is required for a child's voice. NexAudio does not provide celebrity or public-figure voice packs.
Contact
